Already more than two months have passed since his arrest by the KGB. The BCD National Council decided to undertake a series of new campaigns in support of Paval Sieviarynets. In particular, 39 signatures were collected in support of the request to change the preventive measure from imprisonment to a pledge not to leave his place of registration.
Also the National Council discussed the implementation of the national campaign “Become a witness”. It aims to gather people who agree to testify in court proceedings that neither the presidential candidates, nor their representatives called for violent actions both at the peaceful protest on 19 December 2010 and before it. It was decided to invite all democratic forces in Belarus to join this campaign.
Finally the BCD National Council decided to start preparations for the fourth BCD Constituent Congress. In this regard, it was decided to create a steering committee for the preparation of the Congress. However, all participants agreed that the Congress should take place after the release of Paval Siaviarynets.
